UNKOWN BRUISES - RIPPIN' SHIT IN THE USA SERIES

Unkown bruises is a collection of bad pictures of after shows bruises without a remembered injury.
Sometimes that is cause by excess of alcohol and fun during the tour. Bruises usually don't appear till later on or you don't notice them until there is a big purple mark and you wonder where you got it. Scratches and wounds are also types of unkown bruises ... Falling, dancing frenetically and/or wildly excited, pogo in general, crowd surfing , pushing and bounce on general public are common causes.
Anyone who has bruising of unknown causes and is not happy with them should cut out alcohol altogether.. as for me I like them! they remind me how much fun life is!

THE TOUR IS OVER

I wanna give a good report of how amazing this tour was but writing a long post on my iPhone is very confusing for me. I'll be back to tell histories and how every one that came to our shows (even the ones that got to know us that night) made us fell happy, connected and reminded us of our purpose. We are so grateful and happy with this tour!!! Kinda sad it's over.

TOUR UPDATE 1 (or 2?)

Dear Everyone, It's Lovefoxxx here reporting to you dearly from Ashville.

Today was a wonderful day. I woke up too late for my taste and went for a run.... I ended up at Aston park where some homeless watched me do my circuits. An old guy with white hair and a ponytail came where i was to play tennis so I shared the court. Then I came back and had lunch at a place that had a wonderful food for only 10 dollars. They served me on a real plate and that made me happy. I hate when you go to deli and they give you a paper plate. 

Then I went to the farmer's market where I saw a hot tall blond guy coming out of a car drinking coffee on a thermal metal mug. I think that it was coffee. Maybe he wasn't that hot and it all happened in my mind. 

The show was so amazing here at the Orange Peel. I love this venue... I love this Biltmore street. It's the second time we come back... first time was in 2006. 

Derek and Alexis are so so nice. Lovely folks... is great being on tour with them!

I have photos to post... but they are all in film and I need to develop it

I'm tipsy now. It's me, Ana, Carol, Luiza and Roberta in the bus dancing to DJ Anxious. (aka Luiza playing on her ipod and always changing the tunes before they end).

this royal fashion hat thing is a non-sense invention since Queen Elizabeth II stopped to bother about fashion in the 50's, now people think this is a style!
when I moved to England I read a book about English behavior called "Watching the English" by Kate Fox and according to her the most bizarre sense of fashion in England is the Queen taste for clothes and hats.. the Royal wedding today was a great opportunity to witness the extent of this bizarre sense of "fashion". I say DONKEY!

THIS IS ROBERTA, She is our friend for a long long time. She got in our gang because her and Adriano been hanging out for the past 2 decades.
She is the reason why we named our album "Donkey". SHE IS the friend who would call people "hey you donkey, this is wrong" instead of "you stupid".

She is awesome. She is selling our merch in this tour... come and say "hi" to her.
You can also see her on the insert of "Donkey".
She is very sweet and funny. And if you do something stupid she might call you a donkey.
We gonna invite her to be a contributor at this amazing blog.
Her column is going to be called "UNKNOWN BRUISES"... she had this idea after all of us started getting those since the tour started.

#1 US TOUR, SF, HOT TUB, DJ POOP

SO TODAY IS ONE WEEK SINCE WE'VE ARRIVED IN U.S.... First day in San Francisco we wandered around town, went to Tartine, Sushi Land and saw PJ Harvey playing at Warfield. Next day was the first gig at Mezanine with Princeton and Hot Tub. I didn't know Hot Tub and I loved it. They are really fun girls. The music was so bad ass. We've been listening to one of the cds they gave us here in the bus.
After was Coachela and it blew my mind.
See, I'm trying to write a diary here...
well... the coolest thing I have to say is that we have a side project called DJ POOP.
This name is something Luiza always wanted to use and didn't had a chance yet. We needed a secret name for a CSS dj set so we all went for DJ POOP.
So if you see that DJ POOP is approaching your town come around cuz it will be the shit.

SAN ANTONIO!

So, we just played the gig at White Rabbit, San Antonio, TX. IT WAS SO FUCKING COOL. Texas is always fun... We also just met our homies Bosco Del Rey and the Sleigh Bells and they are so cool! We feel this tour is going to be about serious fun.

RIPPIN SHIT IN THE USA

Hey. I know, we been away from our blog. :( :( :(
It's just that the internet on the bus is really a pain, it keeps disconnecting all the time. Hopefully it will work now.
So, we played really amazing gigs in the past couple of days. SF was farrrrking cool, Coachella was orgasmic and Pomona gave us all butterflies. Then we had to cancel Scottsdale gig due to a conflictual agenda, we spent a whole day inside of the bus going from Arizona to New Mexico, we spent last night at Las Cruces and here we are again, in da bus, heading to San Antonio in Texas. We just crossed a check point with Board Control officers, it sucked. First cos they were amazed that the Brazilian passport is blue, cmon. Daaah. Second cos it was so early, it was really confusing, hey, who are these guys with guns inside the bus? Damn it, I hate guns.
So, from now you can expect us to write a bit more about this tour here.
We love you, keep catching us live! We'll have great times.

So you probably already know this but...

the name of our new album is
La Liberación (which is the Spanish for The Liberation in case you were wondering)
and it's coming out on the 29th of August via Co-Op, our new label for the world excluding Japan and Brazil. The first single will come out earlier. I heard it will be in May. But since that was not on the press release it's not "official", you know. Sort of. But yeah, whatever. May is just around the corner!
BABEZ, we are so happy and proud we put out this record.
On the press release it says Bobby Gillespie and Ratatat collaborate on the album. They really did! We are so happy they did! We also tried to get Justin Timberlake but he couldn't, he was busy and sassy being Justin, yeah, too bad for us!
We didn't get Justin but we got Cody Critcheloe aka SSION. Cody is our favorite gay in the whole wide world. He is THE SHIT. And we are the happiest grrrls on earth that he collaborated with us. And we managed to make this really gay song with him and I hope you all love it.
So this is it, liberate yourselves, la la la liberación. We love you! Going to San Francisco later on today. Hope to catch you all somewhere around the globe!
